Merino Wool is one of nature's great gifts to man.

Quality and workmanship were the priorities for determining where The Merino Polo was to be made.  Also as important was being able to deliver a high quality garment that was economically viable to give business and sporting organisations a viable natural alternative to the extensive range of polo shirts currently on the market, primarily made from synthetic fibres.  

The Merino Polo can be traced back to several Western Australian wool properties.  The wool was purchased at Auction, by our buyer, Steve Noa, on behalf of Endeavour Wool.  The wool was then shipped to one of China's most progressive and modern wool processors, New Chuwa.  After expert scouring and topmaking, the wooltop from this batch was then sent for spinning at AWI's chosen spinning me for their knitwear development centre, Xinao.  Sticking with AWI recommended wool manufacturers, the yarn was then sent to Diyang Merino Textiles to be knitted into the final, sensational garment that is

1.  TheMerinoPolo

Produced from 18.5 micron merino wool and spun with 13% nylon to enhance durability along with enhanced moisture management.  This  'silk -like' lightweight polo shirt is designed as part of Diyang's technical range and wears superbly in mild to hot climates, weighing less than 150 grams.  Treated to draw sweat away from the body to evaporate on the outer layer of the shirt, you won't find a more comfortable polo shirt.  Machine Washable.  We can design this shirt to match you or your organisation's design requirements.

2. The All Seasons Polo

Made to a slightly heavier weight with 100% 18.5 micron Merino Wool, this polo can be worn in cooler weather, against the skin for luxurious look and comfort.  Made to order. 

It was almost by accident I fell into the Merino wool industry near on 30 years ago.  I've been exceptionally fortunate to experience all facets of our great industry, from growing the fibre, to marketing, to buying and exporting along with the privilege of 20 years of travelling to China to experience the extraordinary development of now Australia's largest and most important market.

It is fair to say I love wool and harbour a burning desire to see wool recognised and worn by as many as possible for the premium fibre that it is.  How?  By producing a versatile, high quality, stylish and most importantly affordable wool  polo shirt

WAMERINOCO is the result of my desire to work closely with all links in the chain that represents our great  merino wool industry. 

While I applaud the many Australian businesses that have turned their efforts in taking wool from farm to fashion, I for a long time see the importance of making wool available to mass markets, where significant amounts of wool can be consumed each year for tangible returns to the wool grower the end result.  

Corporates, clubs and businesses should have access to wool at a workable price while the single consumer also able to purchase wool at a price they can readily afford.  

The long term goal is to give wool growers a demand source they can benefit from with year on year growth and stability.  

Wool-growers, through their loyalty, perseverance and love for wool deserve the highest possible returns EVERY year.
