Is Merino wool clothing itchy?
Traditional coarse wool can feel scratchy, but superfine Merino wool uses much finer, more flexible fibres. This allows the fabric to bend comfortably against the skin and gives our clothing its soft feel.
Individual sensitivities vary, but many people who avoid conventional wool find superfine Merino significantly more comfortable.
Can Merino clothing be worn in summer?
Yes. Lightweight Merino wool is breathable and helps manage heat and moisture, making it suitable for warm conditions as well as cooler weather.
Fabric weight, garment style, activity level and personal preference will influence which Merino shirt is best for summer.
Does Merino wool stop body odour?
No fabric can prevent your body from producing odour. However, Merino wool naturally manages moisture and binds odour molecules, helping the garment smell fresher for longer than many conventional materials.
Is all TheMerinoPolo clothing 100% Merino wool?
No. We offer both 100% Merino wool garments and Enhanced Performance Merino blends.

Can I machine wash Merino wool clothing?
Yes. Our Merino clothing is designed to be machine washable. Use the recommended cycle and detergent shown on the garment care label, then air dry for the best result.
Is your Merino wool Australian?
Our garments use Australian-grown Merino wool sourced through our specialist manufacturing partner.
Where is your clothing made?
Our garments are made in China by an experienced specialist in superfine Merino wool clothing. TheMerinoPolo is a Western Australian-owned and operated business, and orders are dispatched from Perth.
Is Merino clothing good for travelling?
Merino is an excellent travel fabric because it is comfortable across changing temperatures, stays fresher for longer and can be used for several different occasions.
A small number of Merino shirts can cover flights, sightseeing, outdoor activities and casual dining without filling your suitcase.
